CRAVE is a fully immersive comedy and music experience. We feature some of Los Angeles’ hottest and weirdest artists. Past performers include Reggie Watts, Hannibal Buress, Kumail Nanjiani, Demetri Martin, Ali Wong, Jerrod Carmichael, Kyle Kinane, Nikki Glaser, Hasan Minhaj, Eric Andre and many more. We are a 1-stop spot for a night out. It’s art, music, dance, comedy, fire, cirque and some other really crazy shit!
CRAVE is more than just a show or a party. We've built a community of creative and open minded people who support each other and know how to bring the good vibes. Join our community to be notified of our next event.
In November 2016 we partnered with our friends at CAMP TRiP to throw our first CRAVE out in the desert. CRAVE has hosted comedy at Desert Heart's Festival in 2017 & 2018 and continues to bring our wild brand of comedy to festivals near and far.

Meet the CRAVE Team
Alex Hooper
Creator & Host
You can blame Baltimore, Maryland for Alex Hooper. We think it must be growing up in all that dank humidity that causes his hair to curl like so. After college he moved to Los Angeles, where Hollywood quickly typecast him as a Stoner Mailman. In 2009 Alex started doing stand-up comedy. Tired of traditional comedy venues he, along with neighbor Eric Sheffield, started a stand-up comedy show on their shared apartment rooftop. It’s A Long Way Down became one of the hottest DIY comedy shows in LA. Popularity sky-rocketed! Nobody fell off the roof! The cops came and celebrated by putting Alex in handcuffs! Wait-that part wasn’t so good. It was time to find a new venue.
Alex’s next move was to create an environment where people could have the freedom to laugh, dance, party and genuinely enjoy being alive. The rest, my friends is CRAVE history. He is one of the top ranked Roast Battle Champions at The Comedy Store and has appeared on Comedy Central's Road To Roast Battle, NBC's America's Got Talent and Fox's New Girl. If you are brave and want to know what’s going on inside Alex’s brain 24/7 follow him on Twitter @hooperhairpuff. Check out his website hoopercomedy.com to find out where he is performing next.

Mike Grimm
Technical Director
Mike is an industrious and energetic creative professional with expertise in music and event production, sound engineering and lighting design. And he smells nice too! Mike is responsible for everything you hear at CRAVE in addition to all lighting and visual projections.
A self-taught musician, music producer and DJ, Mike also has a passion for the technical precision required to make his fellow artist’s performance or project run seamlessly. When Alex lets him out of his cage, he runs sound and lighting for acts performing at Saint Rocke nightclub in Hermosa Beach. In his free time, Mike is a cat dad and part-time dragon.

Lauren Tassi
Communications & Marketing
Lauren decided to move to Los Angeles on a snowy January day in Ohio. Her Chevy Prism hit a patch of ice, ran into a ditch and she said "Fuck this." Always up for a challenge, she jumped in head first as CRAVE began to grow and needed someone to organize things. Lauren handles emails, tickets, running this very website and anything else for which Alex has no patience.
Mother of pugs and lover of La Croix's Pamplemousse, Lauren can usually be found in the kitchen or at her sewing machine creating something delicious. Shop Crave Bazaar to see some of her creations
